About Perfect Ponds

It was about thirty years ago that I really started to get into ponds. My grandparents had a pond that needed regular cleaning and I offered to do it for them. Initially, I began simply cleaning it by hand, however, this method was slow and tiresome. My interest however, was undiminished and today pond cleaning is easier with the right equipment.

When I bought my first house it had a run-down and somewhat overgrown pond. I took this opportunity to redesign it, practising all the skills I’d acquired over the previous six months. Two years later I bought a bigger house with a much larger garden and decided to design and install a pond from scratch. Through this I got referral work from friends and family designing, installing and maintaining their ponds.

I really enjoyed doing this and decided to advertise locally to see if there was much call for this kind of service. It’s been nineteen years since I placed that first advert and the business has grown considerably since then. I now have a customer portfolio of approximately 50 regular pond care and maintenance customers, and I have designed and installed around many ornamental ponds, lakes and specialist Koi ponds.
